Director of Corporate Enforcement

Section 945 provided for the continuation of the office of the Director of Corporate Enforcement and set out transitional arrangements for the officeholder, but has since been repealed.

  • The office of the Director of Corporate Enforcement, originally established under the Company Law Enforcement Act 2001, was to continue in existence under this section.
  • The person already holding the office at the time this section commenced would continue in the role for the remainder of their existing appointment period.
  • Any subsequent appointment to the office was to be made by the Minister.
  • This section has been repealed by the Companies (Corporate Enforcement Authority) Act 2021, which replaced the office of the Director with the Corporate Enforcement Authority.
