Section 645 deals with how a provisional liquidator's remuneration is determined and the court's role in fixing that amount.

  • A provisional liquidator is entitled to receive remuneration for their work.
  • The amount of that remuneration is fixed by the court, not by the provisional liquidator themselves.
  • Section 648 sets out the detailed rules and procedures for how the court goes about fixing the remuneration.
  • This section was introduced as a new provision under the Companies Act 2014.
