Companies Act 2014 section 36

Revocation of the authorisation of an electronic filing agent

Section 36 deals with how a company can revoke the authorisation it previously granted to an electronic filing agent, and the consequences of doing so.

  • A company may revoke the authorisation of its electronic filing agent at any time.
  • The company must notify the Registrar of the revocation using the prescribed form.
  • Until the Registrar is notified, the authorisation is treated as still being in force.
  • A revocation remains valid even if it breaches a contract, but any resulting legal claims are unaffected.
