Borrowing

Section 920 deals with the power of the Irish Auditing and Accounting Supervisory Authority to borrow money to fund its planned activities, and the ministerial approvals required.

  • The Supervisory Authority may borrow money from time to time to fund activities in its work programme.
  • Any borrowing requires the consent of both the Minister and the Minister for Public Expenditure and Reform.
  • The Ministers may attach whatever conditions they consider appropriate to the borrowing.
  • This provision re-enacts section 14(9) of the Companies (Auditing and Accounting) Act 2003.
