Minister's power to make regulations in relation to Schedule 14

Section 1313 deals with the Minister's power to amend the list of provisions in Schedule 14 that apply to unregistered companies, and the parliamentary approval process required before any such changes can take effect.

  • The Minister may add to or remove from the list of provisions in Schedule 14 that apply to unregistered companies.
  • This power may only be exercised in the interests of orderly and proper regulation of the relevant bodies referred to in section 1312.
  • The power does not extend to bodies that are classified as excluded bodies under section 1312.
  • Any proposed regulation must be laid before both Houses of the Oireachtas and approved by resolution of each House before it can take effect.
