Secondment to Director's office of member of Garda Síochána

Section 951 sets out the arrangements governing members of the Garda Síochána who are seconded to work in the office of the Director of Corporate Enforcement. Note: this section has been repealed by the Companies (Corporate Enforcement Authority) Act 2021.

• Members of the Garda Síochána could be seconded to the office of the Director of Corporate Enforcement to assist with investigations and enforcement of company law.
• While seconded, such members remained under the general direction and control of the Commissioner of the Garda Síochána.
• This provision originated from section 12(3) and (4) of the Company Law Enforcement Act 2001.
• The section was repealed by the Companies (Corporate Enforcement Authority) Act 2021, which replaced the Director of Corporate Enforcement with the Corporate Enforcement Authority.
